Dental Hygienist

THIS POSITION IS FOR SATURDAYS, FROM 9AM TO 1 PM. Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! you will provide comprehe nsive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining optimal oral health, and support our commitment to creating a welcoming and professional environment. Your expertise will help patients achieve healthier smiles while ensuring adherence to the highest standards of infection control and patient confidentiality.

Duties

• Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, and evaluating oral health status.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing techniques, and preventive care strategies.
• Follow strict infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental equipment, to ensure a safe environment for all.
• Communicate effectively with patients about their treatment options, procedures, and post-care instructions to foster trust and understanding.

Qualifications

• Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control standards.
• Experience with pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required; a passion for working with children is a plus!
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients clearly and compassionately.

Pay: $48.21 - $52.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4.0 per week
