Dental Hygienist

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team! Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient safety.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term dental health.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures for dental equipment.

Requirements

• Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
• Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings, with a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures.
• Proficiency with Dentrix preferred for documentation review and EHR management. If not familiar with Dentrix, we are happy to guide you through the software.
• Knowledge of medical imaging techniques, medical coding, and medical terminology relevant to dental care.
• Expertise in healthcare infection prevention and control practices, including infection prevention management and aseptic technique.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics, providing excellent client communication and patient education.
• Familiarity with dental equipment operation, X-ray safety standards, and maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
