Dental Hygienist Holtsville/Ronkonkoma for Family Practice

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. *NEW GRADS WELCOME!* We are a small, friendly private practice (not part of a chain) where we treat every patient like they're part of the family! To start off, we're looking for someone to work Thursdays (10-7)(but hours can be flexible). Mondays and/or Tuesdays may be added in the future. Come join us!!

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
• Capture and interpret dental radiographs (X-rays) ensuring proper safety protocols are followed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment plans to promote lifelong dental health
• Follow strict infection prevention management protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental equipment
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality at all times

Requirements

• Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice in a clinical setting
• Proven experience working in a dental office or clinic environment
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry
• Expertise in infection prevention practices, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control standards
• Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety guidelines
• Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with diverse patient populations including pediatrics
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance management and maintaining patient confidentiality rigorously
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team dedicated to providing high-quality general dentistry services

Pay: $50.00 - $58.00 per hour
