Duties

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to maintain optimal oral health for patients of all ages.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient safety.
• Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current dental concerns to inform treatment plans.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to empower them with knowledge.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental equipment, to ensure a safe environment for all.

Qualifications

• Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures.
• Proven experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with medical coding is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about their oral health.
• Experience with dental equipment operation, X-ray techniques, and infection control standards.
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

Pay: $43.52 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 per week
