Dental Hygienist

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our busy dental Office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, patient assessment, and infection control practices. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with dentists and other staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes and maintain a welcoming environment for patients.

Hours: Monday - Thursday 9:00am - 5:00pm & Saturday 9:00am - 2:00pm

Duties

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients, including the application of fluoride and sealants.
• Conduct patient evaluations, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories.
• Utilize dental Dentrix software for patient documentation and record management.
• Maintain accurate medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
• Implement aseptic techniques to ensure a safe clinical environment.
• Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.

Skills

• Proficient in using Dentrix systems for documentation review and medical coding.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, infection control protocols, and dental terminology.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Ability to perform medical imaging as required during patient assessments.
