Dental Hygienist

WE’RE HIRING: DENTAL HYGIENIST!

Our patient-focused dental office is looking for an enthusiastic, caring, and dependable Dental Hygienist to join our team!

Schedule: Monday–Thursday

No Friday schedule!

Hours: Mondays 9 am to 6 pm or 9 am to 5 pm, Tuesdays 7:30 am to 3 pm, Wednesdays 8:30 am to 3 pm, and Thursdays 7:30 am to 3 pm

Duties

• Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while ensuring proper infection prevention protocols.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options.
• Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and comfort.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Monitor infection control standards by practicing aseptic techniques and managing sterilization of dental equipment.

Requirements

• Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
• Proven experience with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
• Experience with pediatric dentistry and working with pediatric patients is highly preferred.
• Ability to perform chairside assisting effectively during various dental procedures.
• Familiarity with dental x-ray procedures, medical imaging, and maintaining medical records.
• Excellent communication skills for client education and team collaboration.

Pay: From $48.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 35.0 per week
