Dental Hygienist

Overview

Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional oral healthcare!

Duties

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while ensuring patient safety.
• Assess patient vital signs and medical history to support comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using Dentrix, documenting all treatments and assessments clearly.
• Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control procedures, to ensure a safe clinical environment.

Requirements

• Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
• Proven experience in dental office settings, with knowledge of general dentistry preferred.
• Proficiency in Dentrix.
• Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures safely while adhering to HIPAA compliance and maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection control standards.
