Dental Hygienist

We are a small mostly PPO dental office, looking for a Dental Hygienist to work Fridays and the 2nd Saturday of each month and with the possibility for more days in the future.
We have great intra-office morale and our staff gets along great. Our patients love our staff and our long relaxed appointments.
Looking for someone to add to and improve our team!

Qualifications/Job Requirements
- Provide patients with thorough dental prophylaxis and SRP
- Schedule patient for recall appointments
- Prepare operatory for treatment
- Break down and disinfect operatory
- Disinfect, bag, sterilize hygiene instruments
- Take and read digital dental x-rays
- Complete Periodontal Charting with the aid of a dental assistant
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures (rarely)
- Good chair-side manners
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to learn dental software (Dentrix, Dexis)
- Update patient's Medical History
- Record Findings during oral exam and record dental treatment plan
- (Optional) Completion of Dental Anesthesia administration certification
- (Required) Licensed to work in New York State as RDH

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 – 7.0 per week
