ASAP Dental LLC is seeking dependable and experienced Registered Dental Hygienists (RDHs) for temporary, per diem, and on-call dental hygiene assignments throughout Coral Gables, Florida.

We help dental practices maintain patient schedules when their regular hygienists are unavailable due to call-outs, vacations, staffing shortages, or temporary coverage needs.

Assignments may include same-day coverage, single-day shifts, short-term placements, and recurring temporary assignments.

What You'll Do

As a temporary Registered Dental Hygienist, you will provide professional preventive and periodontal care while delivering an excellent patient experience.

Responsibilities may include:

• Perform routine dental cleanings and preventive hygiene services
• Provide periodontal maintenance and periodontal therapy as permitted by Florida law
• Take and review dental radiographs, digital x-rays, and intraoral scans
• Assess patients' oral health and document clinical findings
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive dentistry, and home-care techniques
• Review medical and dental histories
• Assist with periodontal charting and clinical documentation
• Chart procedures and treatment according to applicable ADA coding guidelines
• Maintain proper infection-control and sterilization procedures
• Disinfect treatment rooms, instruments, and dental equipment
• Prepare operatories before and after patient appointments
• Monitor and maintain dental hygiene supplies and equipment
• Communicate effectively with dentists, assistants, front-office staff, and patients
• Adapt quickly to the workflow and systems of different dental practices
• Provide friendly, professional, patient-focused care

Qualifications

Required:

• Active Florida Dental Hygiene License
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Dental hygiene clinical experience
• Knowledge of OSHA, infection-control, and sterilization procedures
• Strong communication and patient-care skills
• Professional and dependable
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to arrive on time for scheduled assignments
• Comfortable working in different dental offices as needed

Experience with dental software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Curve Dental, or similar dental practice-management systems is a plus.
