Responsibilities

• Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup, ensuring optimal oral health.
• Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical history reviews, and dental examinations to develop personalized care plans.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient safety compliance.
• Educate patients on proper dental care practices, including oral hygiene techniques, diet counseling, and preventive measures.
• Follow strict infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to ensure a safe clinical environment compliant with HIPAA regulations.
• Manage dental equipment maintenance, troubleshoot issues promptly, and ensure all tools are ready for daily use.
• Uphold patient confidentiality at all times in accordance with HIPAA standards while managing medical records securely.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a general practice is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and dental equipment operation.
• Demonstrated expertise in infection control practices and healthcare infection prevention protocols.
• Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about their oral health.
• Familiarity with dental x-ray procedures and maintaining compliance with radiation safety standards.
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced dental office environment that emphasizes teamwork and high-quality patient care.

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
