Dental Hygienist

The Dental Hygienist is responsible for providing high-quality preventive and diagnostic dental care in a supportive, patient-focused environment. This role includes preparing patients for treatment, performing dental cleanings, and supporting the clinical team with accurate documentation and efficient chairside care.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to patient education—helping patients understand their oral health and take meaningful steps toward long-term wellness.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, and provide preventive oral care services.
• Take and record patient vital information as needed, and assist with examinations per clinic protocols.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment recommendations, and personalized care plans.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and support smooth patient flow within the practice.
• Take and develop high-quality X-rays as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Dental Hygienist license in California.
• Associate's degree in dental hygiene or higher from an accredited program.
• Demonstrated experience providing preventive dental care, including cleanings and patient education.
• Strong understanding of infection control, safety procedures, and clinical best practices.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with patients.
• Ability to work part-time onsite and support a fast-paced, team-oriented clinical environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a general dentistry or patient-centered practice setting.
• Comfort collaborating with dentists and assisting with treatment coordination and follow-up.
• A track record of strong patient satisfaction through clear education and compassionate care.
• Experience maintaining organized clinical records and supporting efficient appointment scheduling.
• Proficiency in taking digital X-rays and familiarity with dental software.

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
