Dental Hygiene Assistant

Overview

We are a small private practice, with one great doctor and an awesome staff. As a hygiene assistant you will be assisting the hygienist, which includes coronal polishing, flossing, breaking down/setting up rooms, assisting with exams, x-rays, and helping with sterilizing instruments. We are full time: 8 am- 5 pm Monday - Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists and hygienists during clinical procedures, including chairside support and instrument handling
• Prepare treatment rooms with necessary dental instruments, supplies, and sterilization equipment following infection prevention management protocols
• Take and develop dental x-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring proper technique and patient comfort
• Record vital signs and medical history accurately in Eaglesoft
• Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while managing sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Process dental instruments using sterilization procedures aligned with infection control standards
• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation, and assisting the dental receptionist as needed

Requirements

• Previous Dental Assisting Experience in an office.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
