About Atlas Dental

Atlas Dental is a newly rebranded, dentist-owned and operated practice in Niles, Illinois—not a corporate dental chain. We are building a patient-focused practice that provides comprehensive general dentistry and specialty procedures—all under one roof.

We are seeking an organized, personable, and dependable Dental Front Desk / Patient Care Coordinator to help patients feel welcome, keep our schedule running smoothly, and support daily front-office operations.

You will work directly with our dentist-owners and a collaborative team of general dentists and specialists. A virtual dental billing and insurance verification team will provide additional support.

This position offers room for career growth. We value promoting from within and are looking for someone interested in developing into an Office Manager as their skills and the practice grow. Training and mentorship will be provided, with advancement based on performance, readiness, and practice needs.

  • Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and manage appointment requests
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, fill cancellations, and maintain an organized patient schedule
  • Contact patients for recalls, overdue visits, and unscheduled treatment
  • Explain dentist-recommended treatment plans, associated costs, and financial arrangements, referring clinical questions to the treating provider
  • Help patients understand and utilize financing options, including Sunbit, Cherry, and similar programs
  • Collect patient payments, provide receipts, and accurately document transactions
  • Coordinate with our virtual billing and insurance verification team regarding benefits, patient estimates, account questions, and outstanding balances
  • Maintain accurate patient information, forms, records, and communication notes in Dentrix Ascend
  • Communicate with dentists, specialists, and clinical staff to support a smooth patient experience
  • Address routine patient concerns and bring issues requiring additional guidance to the dentist-owners
  • Follow established privacy procedures and office policies
  • Help improve front-office workflows as the practice grows

Qualifications

  • Previous dental front-office experience required
  • Strong communication, customer service, organization, and follow-through
  • Familiarity with dental terminology, scheduling, insurance basics, and patient financial arrangements
  • Comfortable discussing treatment costs, collecting payments, and helping patients explore financing options
  • Able to manage multiple priorities while remaining professional and attentive to patients
  • Dependable, proactive, and willing to learn
  • Experience with Dentrix Ascend is preferred but not required; training will be provided
  • Experience with Sunbit, Cherry, or similar patient-financing programs is preferred but not required; training will be provided
  • Bilingual or multilingual communication skills are preferred but not required
  • Interest in developing leadership skills and growing into an Office Manager role; prior management experience is not required
