Dental Assistant/Surgical Assistant

Capital Texas Dental Implants and Periodontics, is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our Team. We are a referral-based specialty Periodontics and Dental Implant Practice.

An ideal candidate would have a newly graduated dental assistant , LOVE surgical Dentistry and prioritize patients’ needs. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, a team player. Technical skills of the position can be taught provided you are good listener, paying attention to details and very keen to learn new skills.
Our operation hours is Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm. Hourly wage starts at 15$/hr. and is competitive based on experience. A previous experience in Oral surgery or Periodontics specialty clinic is not mandatory but it is a big PLUS.

Main responsibilities for this position will include the following:

• Taking impressions and pouring up models
• Patient photos
• X-rays and Cone Beams
• Sterilization and daily cleaning
• Setting up appointments in Dentrix Ascend.
• Setting up and taking down operatory rooms
• Placing orders for supplies
• Assisting the doctor during a variety of surgical procedures
• Pre and post op instructions

Job Requirements:

• Registered Dental Assistant with necessary Certifications
• good communication skills
• Outgoing, empathetic and quick learner
• Great organizational skills
• Prioritize patients’ s needs and give our patients an exceptional experience.
• Being and active team player, thinking out of the box and being ready and willing to jump in at any point is crucial for this role.
