Dental Assistant/Receptionist

Overview

We are a friendly, family-based emergency dental practice dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. We are seeking a motivated and personable Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, managing electronic health records, and supporting clinical procedures as needed.

Duties

• Greet patients warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit
• Manage phone communications, scheduling appointments, and coordinating patient flow
• Verify dental insurance coverage and assist with insurance-related inquiries
• Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) accurately and efficiently
• Assist with clinical tasks such as taking X-rays and 3D X-rays (training provided for qualified candidates)
• Support the dental team during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Handle administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and managing patient records
• Ensure the practice remains organized, clean, and compliant with health regulations

Experience

• Prior experience in a dental or healthcare setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for specific skills such as X-ray procedures
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively over the phone and in person
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is a plus
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Friendly, professional demeanor with a team-oriented attitude

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
