Duties

• Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for procedures.
• Assist dentists during a variety of treatments including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and confidence.
• Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners while adhering to safety protocols.
• Manage patient records efficiently using electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Dentrix , ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining a sterile environment through aseptic techniques.
• Support the dental reception process by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and managing patient flow to optimize clinic operations.
• Maintain infection control standards by following strict sterilization procedures and infection prevention protocols across all clinical activities.
• Educate patients on dental terminology, post-treatment care, and preventive practices to enhance their understanding and comfort.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures.
• Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix and scanning with Itero and 3shape
• Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology
• Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety standards.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages and team members including dental receptionists.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
