Dental Assistant

Compensation: varies by experience

Employment type: full-time (4 days Mon - Thurs)

1+ years of dental office experience preferred.

We want an organized Dental Assistant that can manage back office and help in front office as needed . You MUST be a team player, responsible, great with people, and have good communication skills. Most importantly, you must truly enjoy serving the patients and have a natural enthusiasm for the field of dentistry.

You must be familiar with taking alginate impressions and digital x-rays, extractions,restorative, crown/bridge procedures, making provisionals, most aspects of cosmetic dentistry, and be motivated to continue learning.

Familiarity with softdent will be plus.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Take Digital x-rays
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Assist with dental coding and billing processes
- Utilize electronic health record systems for documentation

Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in using dental software and electronic health record systems
- Knowledge of medical coding and billing processes
- Ability to work well in a team environment
