Dental Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within our dental clinic, providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are readily available.
• Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilizing instruments and adhering to infection control protocols.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
• Utilize 3D scanners for creating digital impressions when required.
• Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.
• Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including medical coding and insurance verification.
• Demonstrate knowledge of dental anatomy, endodontics, and aseptic techniques to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred.
• Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
• Familiarity with medical coding related to dental procedures is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Knowledge of dental anatomy and procedures, particularly in endodontics, is beneficial.
