Dental Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a Bilingual/Spanish speaking, dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. Must be able to commute to Fontana at least 2 days a week. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general dentistry and pediatrics.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
• Take and record vital signs of patients as needed.
• Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Assist with medical coding and billing processes as required.
• Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of dental anatomy and procedures is essential.
• Familiarity with dental systems, medical coding, and reception duties is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on industry standards.
