Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support dentists in delivering high-quality dental care, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and maintaining a safe and sterile environment. Duties

• Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management protocols.
• Take and develop dental x-rays, including dental x-ray procedures and 3D scans, ensuring proper technique and patient safety.
• Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar software, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Support patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort throughout visits.
• Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical documentation and records.
• Perform dental instrument processing and sterilization procedures following infection control standards to prevent cross-contamination.
• Assist with dental equipment setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal operation during clinical procedures.
• Support the dental reception team by managing patient check-ins/outs, scheduling appointments via patient management software, and answering patient inquiries professionally.

Skills

• Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms for efficient patient data management.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures across various specialties including pediatric dentistry and oral surgery.
• Experience with dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control expertise.
• Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other diagnostic tools safely and effectively.
• Excellent chairside assisting skills with the ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently.
• Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and medical documentation standards in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Knowledge of dental instruments processing, endodontics procedures, prosthodontics support, and general dentistry workflows.
• Strong communication skills for effective patient management and collaboration within the dental team.
• Ability to maintain clinical confidentiality policies while managing sensitive information accurately.

Pay: $26.47 - $31.88 per hour
