Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures, including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.
• Take high-quality dental x-rays and medical imaging, ensuring proper positioning and adherence to radiation safety protocols.
• Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, maintaining accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Perform chairside assisting duties including taking vital signs, explaining procedures to patients, and providing post-treatment instructions.
• Support dental sterilization procedures and ensure all dental instruments are processed according to infection control standards.
• Coordinate with the dental reception team for appointment scheduling, patient management software updates, and billing processes.
• Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, equipment operation, and anatomy to effectively assist with diverse clinical tasks.
• Uphold clinical confidentiality policies while delivering compassionate patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Experience

• Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is required, with familiarity in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred.
• Proficiency in using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is essential for efficient record keeping and scheduling.
• Hands-on experience with dental x-ray techniques, medical documentation, and medical terminology is highly valued.
• Knowledge of dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention protocols, and aseptic techniques is necessary to ensure safety standards are met.
• Demonstrated ability to assist with specialized procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral imaging enhances your candidacy.
• Strong understanding of healthcare infection control practices combined with excellent communication skills will support effective team collaboration.
• Certification or training in pediatric dentistry or healthcare infection prevention is advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: $28.02 - $33.75 per hour
