DENTAL ASSISTANT – INSTRUCTOR – PART TIME - MONDAY & WEDNESDAY MORNINGS

Canton - Campus based position - $500.00 SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE*

We are looking for experienced DA's to become fully trained instructors to teach scheduled year round morning & evening classes and PRN. Full Paid Training. Please let us know your availability.

Morning classes run M-F 8:30-1 - we are looking for someone to teach Monday & Wednesday mornings

Evening classes run M-TH 5:30-10 - we are looking for PRN instructors to fill in as needed

Dental Assistant Instructor duties include:

• Teach in the Dental Assisting classroom with 10-20 students, covering clinical and administrative skills.
• Learning the material and delivering lectures and demonstrations, working from the Ross lesson plans and curriculum.
• Class sessions are 4.5 hours in either day or evening sessions.
  • This is a part-time position, typically 9 hours per week, more with PRN hours if desired

Some benefits require a minimal amount of scheduled hours per week.

• SIGN ON BONUS - For new hires only who have not been previously offered or employed by Ross. A $500.00 sign-on bonus for candidates accepting the Primary Instructor schedule as offered may be available. Details provided at the interview.

Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience in the field and a national certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA from AMT) or Certified Dental Assistant (CDA from DANB) and formal training in a dental assisting program like Ross. If you do not have the formal education, you can also qualify with 5+ years’ experience in the field and a national certification. *additional requirements or exceptions may be applicable based on the state, program, and accreditation requirements
• Interest in teaching or prior experience
• Must be flexible and have a passion to learn and grow

• Sufficient ability to stand for extended periods of time, move around the building and classroom to satisfy student needs and/or facilitate student participation. • Ability to use current technology to maintain student records
• Ability to communicate effectively in classroom and individual settings
• Knowledge of materials (subjects) that will be taught to students and ability to use and communicate Ross curriculum
• Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced work environment
• Ability to achieve or maintain credential and/or licensure within expected time frames
• Demonstrates professionalism in manner, dress and conduct as a representative of Ross and a student mentor
• Ability to remain objective and treat all students equally
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Adhere to Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics
• Prior teaching or formal tutoring experience using a developed curriculum, preferred
• Perform related work as required
