Dental Assistant

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and professional Dental Assistant to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will support the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, ensure patient comfort before, during, and after care, and provide essential education on oral hygiene strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Schedule: 3.5 days per week
• Maintain active RDA and X-ray licenses
• Participate in front desk cross-training
• Prepare treatment rooms and patients for dental procedures
• Sterilize instruments and maintain equipment per safety protocols
• Assist dentists chairside by anticipating clinical needs
• Capture and develop high-quality dental X-rays
• Create accurate impressions for study casts
• Educate patients on preventative oral health care
• Perform administrative office tasks, including the use of practice management software

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficiency in monitoring and recording patient vital signs
• Comprehensive understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
• Demonstrated competence in X-ray and medical imaging procedures
• Experience with Dentrix software is highly preferred
• Knowledge of endodontic procedures
• Exceptional communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
