Laguna Village Dental is an established, patient-focused family dental practice in Elk Grove. We're looking for an experienced, dependable, proactive, and personable Dental Assistant or Registered Dental Assistant to join our team.

We're a close-knit office where teamwork, clear communication, and compassionate patient care are essential. We're looking for someone who takes initiative, communicates confidently with patients and the dentist, and helps create a calm, welcoming environment—even during busy days.

What You'll Do

• Assist the dentist with general and restorative procedures, including crowns, fillings, and other treatments
• Anticipate the dentist's needs and communicate clearly throughout procedures to support efficient, coordinated care
• Help patients feel comfortable and reassured by explaining procedures within your role, listening to concerns, and maintaining a calm, compassionate approach
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials
• Take digital X-rays and maintain accurate patient records, as permitted by your credentials
• Follow sterilization, infection control, and safety protocols
• Keep treatment rooms organized and ready to support a smooth patient schedule
• Assist with occasional front desk activities, including patient communication and scheduling
• Work collaboratively with the dentist, hygienists, and front office team

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 3 years of general dentistry chairside assisting experience
• Strong four-handed dentistry skills and ability to anticipate the dentist's needs
• Excellent verbal communication skills with both patients and the dentist
• Ability to reassure anxious patients and create a positive, comfortable experience
• Proactive, attentive, organized, and able to maintain a steady pace in a busy practice
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to teamwork
• Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
• California dental assisting certifications appropriate to assigned duties
• RDA license preferred but not required
• Dentrix experience is a plus
