Dental Assistant

Fairfax Complete Dental — Fairfax, VA

Pay: $23–$27 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Schedule: Part-time, 2–3 days per week

Fairfax Complete Dental is a busy, growing dental practice in Fairfax, Virginia, looking for a reliable, friendly, and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with patients, takes pride in their work, and wants to be part of a supportive, close-knit dental team. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, personable, and comfortable working in a busy clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist and/or hygienist during a variety of dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments
• Take digital dental X-rays
• Assist with restorative, prosthodontic, periodontal, and surgical procedures
• Take alginate and putty impression for dentures and Night guards
• Make provisional crowns and bridges (temporary)
• Set up and break down operatories efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly sterilized treatment environment
• Provide friendly and professional chairside support to patients
• Assist with patient records and clinical documentation
• Communicate effectively with the dentist, hygienist, and front office team
• Follow OSHA and infection-control protocols
• Help keep the daily schedule running smoothly

What We're Looking For

• Previous dental assisting experience REQUIRED
• Dental assisting certification is a plus
• X-ray certification and CPR certification preferred
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Friendly and compassionate with patients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Organized and able to multitask in a busy office
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Works well as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
