Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, materials, and supplies, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use according to infection prevention management protocols
• Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and professionalism
• Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans while adhering to dental radiography safety standards and HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality
• Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes
• Provide chairside assistance by managing dental instruments, maintaining aseptic technique, and supporting four-handed dentistry practices for efficiency
• Educate patients on oral health care instructions and post-treatment care to promote ongoing dental wellness
• Maintain strict adherence to clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical documentation and records

Experience

• Prior experience working in a dental clinic or healthcare environment is highly preferred
• Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for scheduling, billing, and record management
• Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to general dentistry and pediatric dentistry
• Hands-on experience with dental sterilization procedures, infection control practices, and dental instrument processing
• Familiarity with dental equipment including X-ray machines, intraoral cameras, 3D scanners, and other clinical tools
• Strong understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control standards including aseptic technique and medical imaging protocols
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages while demonstrating excellent patient management skills

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
