Job Overview

Join the dental team as a Dental Assistant and help patients feel supported while keeping clinical visits organized and safe. You’ll assist with general dentistry and may support pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery.

Duties

• Provide chairside assisting, including four-handed dentistry, and prepare dental equipment and instruments for procedures.
• Support patient care by recording vital signs, managing patient flow, and assisting with dental receptionist tasks as needed.
• Take dental X-rays and support medical imaging, including use of a 3D scanner when applicable.
• Process instruments and follow dental sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and infection control practices.
• Maintain medical records and documentation in patient management software or electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Your impact: Accurate records and attentive chairside support help patients and clinicians navigate care with confidence.

Requirements

• Dental assisting experience and dental clinic experience are preferred; familiarity with general dentistry and dental terminology is valuable.
• Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, dental equipment, and dental instrument processing.
• Follow Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements, clinical confidentiality policies, and healthcare infection prevention and control practices.
• Experience with patient care, medical records, and patient management software is helpful; knowledge of pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, or oral surgery is a plus.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 34.0 per week
