Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in clinical assisting, patient management, and dental procedures, with a commitment to delivering outstanding patient care. As a Dental Assistant, you will support dentists during procedures, ensure clinical efficiency, and uphold the highest standards of infection control and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all dental equipment is functioning properly according to infection prevention management protocols.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques.
• Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide patient care by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and ensuring patient comfort throughout appointments.
• Process dental instruments efficiently and maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment.
• Support front desk operations by assisting with patient management software as needed for scheduling and administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting with knowledge of general dentistry practices.
• Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with patient management software is preferred.
• Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical documentation, and medical records management.
• Knowledge of dental x-ray techniques, oral surgery assistance, and infection control protocols including sterilization procedures.
• Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency during procedures.
• Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and working with pediatric patients is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills combined with attention to detail and adherence to clinical confidentiality policies.

Pay: $26.00 - $34.31 per hour
