Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all supplies are ready for procedures
• Assist dentists during various treatments, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, with precision and care
• Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques
• Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Provide chairside assistance by handling dental terminology, medical documentation, and medical coding to support efficient workflow
• Monitor vital signs of patients when necessary and assist with medical imaging procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort
• Support front desk operations as a dental receptionist when needed, greeting patients and managing appointments seamlessly

Requirements

• Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental assisting practices
• Familiarity with EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with iDentalsoft is a plus
• Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry
• Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety standards for radiation exposure
• Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical records management for comprehensive patient care
