Duties

• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly according to dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies
• Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing four-handed dentistry support to improve workflow
• Take high-quality dental x-rays and medical imaging, ensuring proper technique while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies and patient safety standards
• Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, accurately documenting medical history, vital signs, and treatment details
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care, fostering a positive patient management experience
• Support reception duties by greeting patients, scheduling appointments with patient management software, and managing patient flow smoothly within the clinic
• Follow strict infection control protocols including dental instrument processing, dental sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection prevention and control expertise to ensure a safe environment for all

Skills

• Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and patient records management
• Bilingual , preferably Spanish speaker.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and general dentistry procedures
• Experience with dental equipment operation including 3D scanners, dental x-ray machines, and other clinical tools
• Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety standards for radiation exposure
• Familiarity with pediatric dentistry techniques and managing young patients with patience and compassion
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with dentists, hygienists, patients, and the front desk team including dental reception duties
• Knowledge of infection prevention management practices such as aseptic technique and dental sterilization procedures to uphold clinical confidentiality policies

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
