Dental Assistant

We are a fast growing, privately owned dental office in Frederick, MD, seeking a reliable, talented and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our team.

Your role is vital to keep our practice running smoothly and ensure that our patients’ optimal dental health is achieved through proper care/dental treatment procedures. Overall responsibilities include:

• Tray set-ups, preparing and breaking down rooms using proper infection control protocols.
• Sterilization, stocking operatories and helping fellow coworkers ensure that patients are seen in a timely manner.
• Four-handed dentistry, assisting during various types of dental procedures.
• Taking detailed notes as well as dental x-rays (if proper certification has been completed) and detailed notes about what the doctors discussed with the patient.
• Seating, listening, educating and communicating to patients about their concerns, home care and recommended courses of treatment and/or post-operative care instructions.
• Can ensure seamless communication of recommendations made by the doctor, or services rendered to the front office staff at checkout.

Previous dental assisting experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

For those with dental experience, compensation begins at $20.00/hr depending on tenure, skill set, and certifications.

Candidates with x-ray certification in Maryland, and/or are bilingual in English/Spanish are highly encouraged to apply.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday with flexible hours and shifts available.
