Dental Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join Hurlbut Dental. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Duties

• Assist the dentist during various procedures including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
• Take dental X-rays using medical imaging equipment
• Record patient vital signs and medical history accurately
• Manage patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical coding standards
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
• Perform infection control procedures following aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment in accordance with infection control protocols
• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation, and coordinating with the dental reception team

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting
• Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques
• Ability to operate dental X-ray equipment and 3D dental scanners
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members
• Certification in radiography is required

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
