We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary equipment.
• Educate patients and their parents on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up communications with patients.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
• Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for patient management and record keeping.
• Support the overall operation of the dental office, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for children.

Requirements

• Previous experience in dental assisting, particularly in a pediatric setting, is preferred.
• Proficiency in aseptic technique and infection control practices.
• Familiarity with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is advantageous.
• Knowledge of general dentistry procedures and pediatric dentistry principles.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children and their guardians, fostering a friendly environment.
