Dental Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will help our dental professionals provide high-quality patient care while maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures
• Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments
• Take and process dental X-rays when permitted
• Sterilize instruments and follow infection-control procedures
• Review patients’ medical histories and prepare them for treatment
• Educate patients about oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
• Take impressions and perform other expanded duties when authorized
• Monitor and restock clinical supplies
• Help schedule appointments and answer patient questions
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and office safety requirements

Qualifications

• Dental assisting education or previous dental office experience preferred
• CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Knowledge of sterilization and infection-control procedures
• Strong communication and patient-care skills
• Dependable, organized, and able to multitask
• Comfortable working with patients of all ages
• Experience with dental practice software is a plus

Position Details

• Job type: Full-time/Part-time
• Pay: $20-23 per hour
