Our Virginia Beach Endodontic dental office is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable person to join our team as a clinical dental assistant. Candidate must be a responsible individual who is friendly and professional. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures run as smooth as possible. Clinical experience is a plus. X-ray certification is favorable.
Schedule:
- Full time
- Monday - Friday
- 8 AM to 5 PM
- 35-40 Hours per week
- No weekends
Some responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting doctor in the clinical treatment of patients
- Taking good quality x-rays and Cone Beam CT images
- Oversee cleanliness of treatment rooms and lab area
- Monitor patient flow
- Communicate professionally with other assistants, front desk staff, doctors and patients
- Escort patients to and from treatment rooms
- Sterilization of equipment
- Set-up and break down of treatment rooms
- Keeping the treatment rooms and lab clean and well-stocked
- Follow infection control procedures
- Scanning charts
Requirements:
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Attention to detail
- Well-organized
- Dependable: Good daily attendance and punctuality are a must
- Training is provided: Willing to learn and teachable
- VA x-ray certification or scheduled to take the 1 day certification class
