Dental Assistant

Family owned dental practice with locations in Troy and Detroit seeking a full time dental assistant to join our team.

Our ideal candidate is enthusiastic about patient care, dependable, willing to learn, and takes full ownership of their role in the office. Full time availability with previous experience preferable. Must be able to commute to both locations.

Patient care hours:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, (Troy) 9 am - 5 pm
Wednesday (Detroit) 10 am - 5 pm
Rotating Saturdays (September - May) 9 am - 2 pm

Dental Assistant Duties

• Opening/closing office
• Radiographs (film)
• Make temporaries
• Impressions/Digital Scanning
• Model making and trimming
• Charting
• Sterilization
• Inventory management
• Lab case management
• Room turnover
• Patient and lab communication
• Scheduling when needed
• Restorative, endodontics, simple oral surgery, prosthodontics
• Ortho/Invisalign experience a plus

3+ years expereince preferred, but not necessary. Willing to train the right candidate. Pay commensurate on experience.

Skills

• Proven experience as dental assistant
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
• Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus
• Good computer skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Attention to detail
• Well-organized and reliable
• High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred
• Additional certification (x-ray) or training is an asset

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 38.0 per week
