Surgical Assistant

Immediate opening for a full-time Surgical Assistant. The ideal candidate must be punctual, dedicated to teamwork, have strong attention to detail, and be motivated to work in a fast-paced surgical setting. We are willing to train a Dental Assistant, Surgical Technician, or Medical Assistant with relevant experience.

Surgical Assistants are responsible for clinical and technical procedures under the supervision of a licensed oral surgeon. Duties include:

• Set up and break down of surgical suites
• Taking and monitoring vital signs
• Assisting during surgeries (passing instruments, aspirating intraoral fluids, mixing materials and medicaments during examinations or treatment)
• Recovery of patients from anesthesia
• Sterilization of instruments
• Charting within Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
• Taking radiographic images, including 3D cone beam scans and PA x-rays
• Educating and preparing patients for surgical procedures during consultations

Requirements

• Current Dental Assistant registration
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Past experience with EMRs preferred
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred, but not required
• Must be willing to travel to our Moses Lake and Wenatchee locations for training and occasional coverage as needed
• Reliable transportation and willingness to work across multiple office locations

Schedule & Location

This is a full-time position.

• Wednesday and Thursday: Ellensburg office
• Remaining scheduled workdays: Yakima office
• Occasional travel to our Moses Lake and Wenatchee offices may be required for training and operational needs.
