Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during various procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry by preparing and handing over dental instruments and materials.
• Operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and digital imaging systems while adhering to all safety protocols.
• Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring accurate positioning and patient comfort in compliance with dental x-ray safety standards.
• Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft and Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up supplies, and maintaining aseptic techniques to prevent infection.
• Support patient management by taking vital signs, explaining procedures clearly, and addressing patient questions with professionalism.
• Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling medical documentation and ensuring compliance with infection prevention management practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures.
• Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with patient management software is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dental care.
• Certified in dental x-ray techniques; experience with dental sterilization procedures and infection control protocols is essential.
• Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while demonstrating four-handed dentistry skills for optimal clinical flow.
• Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices, oral surgery assistance, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery procedures preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients on oral health care and post-treatment instructions clearly.
• Commitment to healthcare infection prevention and control standards along with aseptic technique adherence.

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
