Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth clinical operations
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict infection prevention management and aseptic techniques
• Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans, accurately documenting medical imaging results in patient records
• Assist to manage patient flow by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies
• Provide chairside assistance by managing dental instruments, materials, and supplies during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
• Help to educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and preventive measures to promote optimal dental health
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards and dental sterilization procedures

Requirements For Dental Assistant

• Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting or relevant internship experience is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is essential
• Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry procedures
• Familiarity with Patient Management Software for accurate documentation
• Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, intraoral cameras, and 3D scanners with proper safety protocols
• Understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control practices within a clinical setting
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics
• Ability to follow clinical confidentiality policies rigorously while managing sensitive medical records
