We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team. Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary equipment, and ensuring all supplies are stocked and ready for procedures
  • Assist dentists during various treatments including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques
  • Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging technology while adhering to infection prevention management and aseptic techniques
  • Manage patient records accurately within electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies
  • Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and preventive measures to promote long-term dental health
  • Monitor vital signs and assist in patient management to ensure comfort and safety throughout visits
  • Maintain strict infection control standards by following dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention protocols

Experience

  • Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred, especially with pediatric dentistry or general dentistry practices
  • Proficiency with dental software such as Open Dental for scheduling, documentation, and patient management
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and dental equipment operation is essential
  • Hands-on experience with dental X-ray techniques, oral surgery assistance, endodontics procedures, and prosthodontics is advantageous
  • Familiarity with medical documentation standards and medical records management ensures accuracy in patient files
  • Demonstrated ability to follow infection control protocols diligently while supporting clinical confidentiality policies
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members including dental receptionists and healthcare professional
  • Must have BLS cert
  • Radiology certificate
  • Osha requirements fulfilled

Pay: $25.88 - $28.00 per hour
