Duties

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following strict infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.
• Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring all dental equipment is functioning properly.
• Take and develop dental x-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
• Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes.
• Provide chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
• Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions while demonstrating excellent patient management skills.
• Support the dental reception team by managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out procedures, and handling general inquiries with professionalism.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and dental assisting procedures.
• Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with patient management software is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of infection control protocols including dental sterilization procedures and healthcare infection prevention and control expertise.
• Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, intraoral cameras, 3D scanners, and other clinical tools safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience working with pediatric patients is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members like dental receptionists and hygienists while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
• Certification in Dental Radiography or X-ray certification required; additional certifications in endodontics or oral surgery are advantageous.

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
