Clinical Dental Assistant

We are located just minutes from the picturesque downtown of Stillwater. Our established dental office is looking to add a dental assistant who wants to make a difference in people's lives. We welcome applicants with experience as well as new graduates. Compensation will be based on your experience.

Dentrix software and computer skills are a plus.

This is a full-time position. No weekends and Fridays are half days.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients to the dental office
• Prepare patients for treatments, ensuring their comfort
• Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed
• Sterilize instruments according to OSHA regulations
• Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry and all expanded functions per license.
• Undertake lab tasks and continue learning new technologies, including 3-D printing.
• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
• Schedule appointments
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures

Skills

• licensed in Minnesota, Proven experience as a dental assistant
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
• Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus
• Good computer skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Attention to detail
• Well-organized and reliable
• Dental assisting license/certificate
• Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA)
