Smithfield Dental Care is seeking a compassionate and skilled Orthodontist, part time, to join our established, patient-focused team. For over 25 years, our practice has proudly served the Smithfield community with high-quality general, pediatric, and orthodontic care. As our patient base continues to grow, we’re excited to continue offering dedicated orthodontic services to help us elevate the level of care we offer to our patients and their families.

Position Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose and develop treatment plans for patients with malocclusion and other orthodontic needs
• Provide treatment with braces, clear aligners, retainers and other appliances
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment as needed
• Review records, radiographs and scans to support treatment planning
• Communicate clearly with patients and parents about treatment options, timelines and costs
• Work closely with our general dentists, pediatric dentist, hygienists and clinical team on referrals and coordinated care
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Create a comfortable, warm and positive experience for every patient

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
• Completion of an accredited orthodontic residency program
• Active Utah dental license with orthodontic specialty credentials, or eligibility to obtain one
• Current DEA registration and CPR certification
• Strong clinical skills and a gentle chairside manner with children, teens and adults
• Clear communicator who works well as part of a team
