Responsibilities

• Perform general dentistry procedures including dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, oral examinations, and diagnostic imaging.
• Diagnose dental conditions using current dental terminology and healthcare diagnosis standards; develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Utilize dental software such as Opendental for accurate medical documentation and record keeping in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
• Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques; ensure sterilization of instruments and adherence to OSHA standards.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care; foster a positive patient experience through client communication skills.
• Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to improve efficiency and patient comfort.
• Keep up-to-date with medical imaging techniques and anatomy knowledge to support accurate diagnoses and treatment planning.
• Document all procedures thoroughly within electronic health records; ensure compliance with medical documentation standards.

Experience

• Proven experience in general dentistry within a busy dental clinic or office setting.
• Familiarity with practice management software such as Opendental is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws related to patient privacy and medical records management.
• Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and medical imaging procedures essential for safe practice.
• Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain complex diagnoses using clear dental terminology.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient care and professionalism.
• Korean-speaking applicants preferred.
