You went to dental school to become an exceptional dentist. But somewhere between graduation and a few years in practice, it's easy to find yourself in a position where you're producing, seeing patients, and getting better clinically, but you're not necessarily growing into the dentist you know you could become.

Gateway Dental Care is looking for an experienced associate dentist, ideally 2–4 years out of dental school, who is ready for the next stage of their career.

We're not looking for just another set of hands.

We're looking for someone we can invest in.

Someone patients naturally connect with and trust. Someone confident enough to make decisions but humble enough to keep learning. Someone who takes tremendous pride in their clinical work and, above everything else, does the right thing when no one is watching.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Gateway Dental Care is an established, growing private practice in Gilbert, Arizona.

Over the next decade, our vision is to grow Gateway into a group of approximately six practices, while preserving the culture, clinical autonomy, and patient-first approach that make private practice special.

We're looking for a dentist who doesn't simply want to work in that growth.We want someone who has the opportunity to grow with it.

For the right doctor, that includes a pathway to earned equity in a future practice they help build, with no initial buy-in required. Additional opportunities to increase ownership through defined performance benchmarks and buy-in opportunities are also planned for new offices.

This is an opportunity to start as an associate and potentially build toward something much bigger.

WHAT MAKES PRACTICING AT GATEWAY DIFFERENT

Your time should be spent being a dentist.

Our expanded-function dental assistants allow our doctors to operate differently than they can in many traditional practices.

You prep the crown. Our EFDA can take it from there, including CEREC fabrication and seating.

You prep the composite. Our EFDA can complete the restoration.

With removable prosthetics, our EFDA and team can handle approximately 95% of the workflow.

That means less time performing tasks that don't require a dentist and more time diagnosing, treatment planning, performing high-level dentistry, developing relationships with patients, and increasing your production without feeling like you're running from room to room.

COMPENSATION & LONG-TERM REWARDS

28% of collections (with an EFDA you can do much more in daily production)

You'll also receive a $700/day guarantee for your first 90 days while you become established in the practice and credentialed with insurance companies. (we are PPO only, no HMO)

And we're thinking much further ahead than your first year.

Doctors who complete five years with Gateway will receive a $60,000 retention bonus.

REAL MENTORSHIP

We don't believe mentorship means, "Come find me if you have a question."

We're developing a structured mentorship program in which our senior owner-doctors, Dr. Barber and Dr. Erskine, take dedicated time away from their own production to work directly with our associate doctors.

The goal isn't to turn you into a copy of another dentist. It's to help you become an exceptional version of yourself.

You'll have experienced private-practice owners available to help you improve clinical skills, efficiency, treatment planning, patient communication, case acceptance, leadership, and eventually, if that's your goal, the business side of dentistry.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Clinical skill matters here.

You should already be above average in direct restorative dentistry and crown & bridge. We utilize CEREC, so experience with same-day dentistry and efficient crown preparations is a significant plus.

But technical ability alone won't get someone hired at Gateway.

Integrity comes first.

We're looking for someone who:

• Does excellent dentistry even when nobody is checking their work
• Is confident without having an ego
• Can walk into a room and make a nervous patient feel comfortable
• Communicates in a way patients understand and trust
• Wants clinical autonomy but also values mentorship
• Takes ownership when something doesn't go perfectly
• Wants to continue getting faster and better without sacrificing quality
• Treats assistants, hygienists, front-office team members, and patients with respect
• Likes being part of a team and actually enjoys coming to work
• Wants to build something rather than simply collect a paycheck

We take dentistry seriously, but we don't believe we have to take ourselves seriously all the time.

SCHEDULE

This is a full-time position with a schedule designed to leave room for a life outside the office:

Tuesday–Thursday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Every other Friday & Saturday: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM

EMPLOYMENT OPTIONS

We offer both W-2 and 1099 options depending on the doctor's needs and appropriate classification.

W-2 includes:
